Is this the same as AFCS or War Pension claims

No. Civil claims are separate to military compensation schemes and focus on negligence by the MoD. Some veterans can pursue both.

Can I still claim if I’m serving?

Yes. Active service personnel can often bring civil claims without any impact on their service.

How long do I have to claim?

Generally, claims must be started within three years from when you realised your injury was connected to service. Exceptions can apply.
